#LetsOpenUp: with KUSUM –

In another episode of #LetsOpenUp, we talked with Ms Kusum.

Marital abuse is NOT ok, Being afraid of spouse in NOT ok, Being an emotional and physical punch bag is NOT ok.

This is the story of Kusum, who dared to go beyond the ‘societal’ expectations of keeling quiet and tolerating abuse.

Her husband refused to give her any alimony or child support. Those were dark times, as she tried to juggle her job & her two daughters’ routine. Managing a whole family on a meagre income was something she wasn’t prepared for.

But she and her girls got through this together, with help of her own parents.

Today, Kusum is just thankful that she took the brave decision to walk out of her abusive relationship. Her daughters have grown into confident & mature Girls and Kusum herself is working in a corporate with good salary. She has definitely excelled at being a mother โค๏ธ

Absolute Talks applauds Kusum and her undaunted strength. She chose not let the ‘society’ dictate her freedom.
