I saw this question asked a few times, but my situation is a little different, I recently got married – it was an arranged marriage , but with my consent only, I do love my wife.
There is this senior lady in my office who used to hit on me since the time I had joined company some 5 years back. Now that I have gotten married, she has somehow upped her attentions!
She literally comes to my cubicle 3-4 times in a day, sits beside me and just talks non work related things. Even my department colleagues find it odd.
Though I do not directly report to her, she is still a senior and I am not sure what she would do if I tell her off.
Anyone else gone through this? any advices?

why don’t you keep 3-4 photos of your wife on the table. also, keep clicking new pics of both of you in love dove poses. Everytime your senior comes to you, start showing off. Dont let her speak only. you keep going on. she will surely get bored and move on.

If you were a female, I would have told you to go to HR. But obviously you would be mocked since you are a boy, this is what had happened to me when i had tried to report my boss, when he was giving promotion to a female colleague, even though she was my junior, and knew much less. But she and him used to sit in his cabin all do, and i was given her work too!

When i tried to report, so much fun was made of me, not just HR, even my own office friends. I was told to man-up! It is a sad siutation for males in India.

Also brother, i would warn you to be careful. If she gets angry and makes a harassment claim against you, you are gone.

Harassment is harassment, no matter which gender does it. Can’t you approach a senior HR directly with your concerns. Don’t put a name to your story, just ask them what should you do. Technically, its HR’s job to help you out of this. I am sure they will be able to send an indirect message to her.

Or as someone else has suggested, try and very busy when she comes to you. Maybe she’ll take the hint.

So, me and a few friends also face this very problem when the oldies senior management come to bother us without reason.

As soon as we get into such a situation, we put a 7 in our common whatsapp group. And then one of us calls this person, and acts official. So the stuck person either tells the oldie that its a very improtant call and it wil take a lot of time.

Or she say that her boss is calling her to their cabin immediately and run away.

Maybe you can get a friend to help you out like this.
